GoodOne - Guest Star of RE-ACT 2010

Goodone is an award-winning sustainable fashion label that designs and produces innovative, body-conscious garments that are made from hand-picked upcycled fabrics. Their aim is to exceed expectations of what recycled fashion can be by creatinbg clothing that is high-end and special without losina a wearable aesthetic.

„The team at GoodOne develops a design method that's informed by the use of recycled fabrics but not restrained by it”, says founder Nin Castle. Using their expertise in the deconstruction and reconstruction of garments they are able to create an unlimited amount of new clothing from discarded fabrics, mass-producing the one-off by uniquely combining colours, patterns and textures.

„We want to push a new level of quality within upcycling by mixing surplus luxury fabrics with used garments. This season we have introduced new textiles such as cashmere” says Castle.

The fashion industry produces an increasing amount of waste. By usin recycled materials Goodone provides creative and sustainable solutions for waste reduction, minimising energy use and damage to the environment. Their passion for creativity and style allows them to compete with mainstream fashion retailers without compromising values.

This year Goodone will present their new colelction Autumn/Winter 2010/2011 during RE-ACT Fashion Show, and duo Nin Castle and Clare Farrel will be a part of jury in a competition.
