Joanna Paradecka's fashion recycling

2010-05-12

Clothing recycling in Poland is still associated rather with being a hobby than a professional fashion. Although there are many people who refashion their clothes, there are not many attempts to make a professional brand out of it. One of the very few that design recycled clothes professionally is Joanna Paradecka, owner of Paradecka hand Made brand, and this year's member of the jury for RE-ACT Fashion Show contest.

''It was only after my stay in London that I saw that recycling in fashion is not only about creativity but also great quality. And that there are fashion brands that make this kind of clothes. In Japan, half of the designers creates in the recycled fashion. And they do an amazing job. My husband and I came back from London after six years, and I decided to import my fascination with recycled fashion on Polish grounds and show it is also a great way to go.”
