The premiere of „HOME” will be the grand finale of the Re-Act Fashion Show. It's an incredible journey into the depths of the Australian coral reef, a hike through the Amazon forests, infinite Gobi desert and industrial districts of Shanghai... It's a journey through all continents and the aim of this journey is to direct the world's attention to problems and dangers that affect the natural environment: global warming, dying forests, extinction of flora and fauna species, shortage of natural resources. The domino effect of the ecological disasters can lead to catastrophal consequences. „HOME” is a warning, our planet's cry for help.
The Big Idea When in 2006 Yann Arthus-Bertrand got an idea to make a movie, he first contacted with Denis Carot (Elzévir Films) who immediately agreed to participate and believd in this project even if the director's idea was to distribute the film for free. The challenge was to break the classical, commercial approach to film and find the sponsor who will be ready to give money for that production. The same was with distributor, who will be able to spread the film all around the world."When the people from film industry found aout about our project mentions Denic Carot, " the big interest has shown up from the distributors, also from abroad, what does not happen often in the history of independent film studio which we are. However nobody could not accept the idea of free distribution. Finally Luc Bessonand his EuropaCorp believed in this project and directed us to PPR, our sponsor.” Next, the schedule of working has been set. It has ended in 54 countries, 217 days of shooting and 488 hours of filmed material.
